Lovin' my marble AND my quartz!

My countertops are all in! I'm thrilled with with the Imperial Danby (honed) on the island. The veining is so soft and pretty. And the practical side of me is delighted that I have a whole perimeter of quartz for messy prep as well!

Lighting is not in yet, so the pictures are a bit washed out. With luck we'll be finished in a couple of weeks (BS tile is on backorder).

Thanks to all who helped me take the plunge with the marble!

Thanks for sharing this -- I love your marble! We are getting Eureka Danby which looks a lot like Imperial Danby, but with a bit more markings. I just love the way yours looks and now am even more excited about getting ours! I love the Danby -- it has this feeling of casual rusticity and truly is a durable marble. Enjoy!

Sayde, I'm intrigued by your comment that it is a "durable" marble. Is Imperial Danby any less prone to etching than say, calacatta or carerra?

Thanks everyone! It's starting to feel like we are in the home stretch and I will post pictures when finished. Meanwhile, I touch the marble everytime I walk by...

Breezy, the perimeter counters are Caesarstone Blizzard.

Love the Marble - that would be perfect on my buffet (which I'll get marble for some day . . .)

When I first read your title I ended up with "loosing my marbles AND my quartz" and I thought -what, that does not make sense - then I read it again LOL!!!
