Same here with me except it was on my polished nickel drain...I was so PO'd.....and still am!!!

My sympathies. I'm already on my second Rohl polished nickel kitchen faucet because the first was ruined by a workman touching it with a bit of plaster on his hands. PN is so easy to damage. There's a product called Flitz faucet wax that offers some protection. It's now going on my new faucet every other week or so.

BarKeeper's Friend is not a "friend" of nickel...polished or satin/brushed. Nor is bleach, btw.

As a matter of fact, I recommend you avoid all similar cleansers/chemicals. In your case it was an accident, but to others...all you need to clean your nickel fixtures is a mild detergent and water.

That's also, btw, why many of us also recommend you not get a nickel drain/strainer to match your nickel fixtures...stick with stainless steel.

Can you repolish the nickel? Get some metal polish at the hardware store? I am just asking, have never had nickel fixtures.
