What is heritage stone?

Oops. The heritage part describes the house which is built out of stone, not a house built out of heritage stone. It is a rural house built in 1860 with field stone ie the stones were not quarried square. Walls are 30 inches thick so the window wells are very deep and there are only 2 windows in the kitchen. I thought country color generalities might be different from sleek urban condo looks.

There are many color combos that work together well. I can tell you that Candice Olson likes to have the flooring and the counter be the same color. Also we've seen a lot of issues around how busy the backsplash is vs, the granite counter as they are right next to each other.

Best bet is to look at houzz.com and Pinterest for inspiration and then model your kitchen colors based on a picture you really like.
