Bridge Faucet?

| Hey! Does anyone have any experience with bridge faucets from Danze, Premier, or Whitehaus? I'm hoping to put a bridge faucet with a side sprayer in my kitchen, but the "main" brands are $$$ - with my inset cabinets and some other extras we've picked, I gotta find a way to save some money somewhere! thanks! |

| I bought my bridge faucet (Whitehaus 9564 Country Collection) off their discount website fixturehaus.com. It was one of the last chrome faucets they had, and I think I paid $78 for the faucet and $25 shipping (regularly $700). It was either that or the Rohl bridge faucet for $1000 more, but the budget wasn't there for that! I love the quality of the faucet. I actually thought it would be a temporary until I could afford the Rohl, but now I'm keeping it! |

| thanks oldhousegal....I looked on their site yesterday, but I didn't see any options with a side spray...I feel like I will definitely need one with a big farm sink. Do you have one? Can I buy them separately? |

| I tried to add a sprayer to a Newport Brass faucet, but it wouldn't work. Newport Brass has different "plumbing connections" (not sure of the correct term) for their faucets with, and without, sprayers. I learned this by going on their website and pulling down the spec sheet and installation information on both faucets and comparing them. Be sure to do your research. I ended up getting a brushed stainless Newport Brass faucet on Ebay from a seller who's customer changed their mind for $184.00 - the bonus was they were local and I could just pick it up! |

| What about a pull down bridge faucet? My friend has this one in her kitchen and it looks great. Reasonably priced and no need for a separate sprayer.Elkay also makes a gorgeous one, but $$$$. |

| Thanks so much for the ideas! Here's what I ended up going with...was hoping to find something with a bit more of a vintage feel to it (maybe crossbar handles?) but all the ones I saw with crossbars (that weren't crazy expensive) had a black plastic handle on the side spray, and I knew that was going to make me bonkers to look at it everyday. So, I went with something pretty and fancy and thought it would add some pizzaz to the kitchen!
thanks again for all the help! |

| A thought. When selecting a bridge faucet make sure the holes are standard. In case you don't like the faucet, you can change it later. I had one years ago and it was imported. It was always breaking. I could not swap it out because the darn holes did not line up with any other faucet. |

| Just because people will find this thread using Google searches etc, I used a Kohler Torq bridge faucet in our kitchen. The traditional lines of a bridge faucet with a more industrial feel to it. Stainless steel too, which was a nice match to the sink and appliances. It's solid stainless steel if I'm not mistaken, not a 'finish'.
