Average overhang - to sit at and eat - ranges from 12" min to avg of 15"

Remember to use corbels or steel supports for the area that is the
actual overhang....

thank you .. this was very helpful. I wasn't sure of the height of the stools for a coutertop. This chart was helpful. We are going with a 14" overhang.

NKBA recommends a minimum of...
Table-height (30" high): 18" overhang
Counter-height (36" high): 15" overhang
Bar-height (42" high): 12" overhang
