I considered tin, but the ones I liked couldn't be used next to a cooktop (they were painted). I also had concerns that the tin would rust (we are at the beach). I found a very beachy, tropical design I loved, but it seemed really busy for my space. In the right setting and location with no cooktop nearby, I think it would be an excellent choice.

I have a tin backspash behind my range. beadboard in the rest of the kitchen. Here is a pic. I dont have a closeup of the tin backsplash though. Please ignore the duct tape pulls and the dog bone on the floor!

I think its a great look, IF the rest of the space supports it. Not many do, IMO.

Cooperbailey - Can you tell me what tin you used and where you got it? I'm going for the same look. I have white beadboard for a backsplash and want to use white tin behind my range.
