We are converting our garage into a kitchen and we were supposed to start right after the holidays. We got two bids, which were fairly comparable, and liked both of the design/build teams we met with.

Now my husband has decided that he wants to have our architect do construction drawings so that he can submit the drawings for them to rebid.

I know he is trying to avoid any surprises by getting as thorough an estimate as possible, but in the meantime, it's February, we have no drawings, the contractors are getting booked up, and this kitchen is going nowhere!

Just had to vent.
