Juno recessed lights question-remodelfla, svwillow1, anyone??

Talked to Juno tech guy. Recommended IC20R 5" cans and 3 different trim choices but only 2 can be found at laner.com

trim choices are all the alzak wheat haze but the one that can take a 75 watt max. bulb isn't on the laner site

207WHZ-WH PAR 20 50 watt max. bulb-on laner.com

206WHZ-WH PAR 30 50 watt max. bulb-on laner.com

216WHZ-WH PAR 30 75 watt max. bulb-not on laner.com

also the 216 doesn't require separate purchase of the air loc gasket

svwillow1-you said you got the trim from laner for 75 watt bulb??

remodelfla-did you get trim that could take 75 watt bulb from laner??

Another resource for Juno lights could be http://www.galesburgelectric.com/Recessed-Lighting/

They are a small bricks and mortar in Illinois. I spoke with them yesterday and they are very helpful. If they don't have what you want in stock they may be able to get it. Their prices are very competitive and may save you a few bucks over Laner.

I've bought some things from electricsuppliesonline.com, and was satisfied with the pricing and the shipping time. They carry the Juno 216WHZ-WH for what looks to be a good price.

Also, have you tried just calling Laner to see if they could order that Juno 75 watt item? Ask what their price would be, especially if you are ordering other stuff from them at the same time.

One electrical supplies internet retailer I would AVOID is beverlyhillselectric.com. I had a bad experience with them, they were awful.

rjr220-I sent an e-mail off to galesburgelectric.com requesting availability and pricing info so will wait to see response. Thanks for responding!

akchicago-the prices are great at electricsuppliesonline.com. The 2 trim models-206 and 207-cheaper there than laner.com and they also carry the 216. This is the one we want so we could put a 75 watt bulb in there if we wanted plus no need to order the air loc gasket. However, the IC20R housing is more expensive there than laner. Doing the math we still end up saving money with electricsuppliesonline AND we can get the 216 trim for a 75 watt max. bulb. Thanks so much for the info!!

Didn't know you could order directly from the Juno site?? When I hit the How to Buy the site brought me to the US map and hitting NY state brought me to area distributors which were way more $$ for the housing/cans and trim than the web sites I've been looking at. If I'm missing something, let me know.

If I remember correctly, my trim takes the 50 watt but that should be more then adequate lighting. I got so burned out (no pun intended) on the can thing that I did as much research as I could stand and just made a decision and went with it. I ordered the 206WHZ-WH. HTH

Give Laner a call. If I remember correctly (was a few years back) they ordered the trims for me, and they were shipped directly from Juno. The rest of the order came from Laner's stock.
