Can anyone show me creamy or ivory cabinets with glaze?

About to "pull the trigger" and I am making my final, final decisions. Can anyone show me pictures of their creamy/ivory cabinets with glaze?

My cabinet maker includes glazing without an upcharge (yeah! They do distressing and sand through too for "free"). I want an heirloom feel, but I have never had painted cabinets, and I could not imagine what the glazing would look like. I'm not going for Shaker or Farmhouse--think Colonial Williamsburg tavern.

Thanks!

mine actually have a very subtle glaze and because the cabinets aren't ornate on the face the glaze doesn't pick up too much. But it turns the overall look away from stark white. YOu can see the glazing better on the island and on the hood and far better on the doors themselves in person:

one more thing

oh but I wanted to add, mine are factor finished and have no rub through, so they definitely do not look antique nor do they look old. (which is too bad but I couldn't afford to go that way)

Mine are Painted Maple with Vanilla Bean Glaze. Hope this helps!

Thanks for these pics. They help alot! dd70, what's the hole next to the fridge? I can't for the life of me figure out what would be that small.

Anyone else have glazed cabinets they are willing to share?

Mine are frost glazed birch. They are also distressed. Hard to appreciate in these photos. Very "creamy" in color.

Here are mine. Base color was Benjamin Moore Linen White, with a light coat of a dark brown glaze - mostly to catch in the corners and distressing (hide the dirt and dings). I had mine distressed before the glazing - having lived with white cabinets before, I knew the knicks were going to come anyway - might as well hide them in the overall look!

Mine are not done and are dramatic. The glazing is not on the light rail, etc.... but you can see the rubbed areas.
Richard's Paint, Minwax stain, and custom glaze are all special mixes on site.

Ours are cream and glazed on the top cabs. They are not heavily glazed as you can see. The bottoms are too yet again not heavily.

I've got the same finish as dd70: vanilla bean glaze.

(still no backsplash yet)

weedyacres-are your cabinets merillat?? if so, how are you liking them? it's funny, because our layout is very similar, yours is bigger than what mine was. before the remodel my stove was in exact same spot except there was no cabinet on the end...the side of my stove was the end! My sink was in same spot as well but then it turned to an L with dishwasher on the peninsula (so really i had a small U. I just cant wait until it's all done!

What beautiful kitchens - my question - I ordered maple cabinets in antique white w/espresso glaze and now need help with what color granite for countertops. I'm thinking of using DuraCeramic flooring in Golden Clay but not totally sold on that. Husband refuses to consider wood floors as well as ceramic hence the DuraCeramic. I really like granite that has what they call "movement" but have a small kitchen so I think a real dark color wouldn't be good. Thanks for any suggestions.

auntimaryann-good luck, I am having the same problem and I like movement as well. I have seven samples sitting in my kitchen right now and have been to 5 yards. I am trying to stay brown/gold but I dont want it too light and I dont want gray undertones....this is not as easy as i though it would be. but the good news is I found a granite called "genesis" that I really love and I think it works perfect with the cabs. here is a pic. I am afraid of the price! I am waiting for them to call me.

dd70 - I went to the stone yard today and saw three granites I'm thinking about - the first one was called Imperial Verniz. It was gorgeous - but the two slabs were already taken. My second choice was Crema Bordeaux - one slab didn't have flesh or pink color but more black and brown. The last one was called Golden Namibia and with the sample I brought home, my husband like that. I don't know how to insert pictures, otherwise I would since I did bring my camera along with me. I'm going to search the site to see if I can send a picture. Thanks for the picture of Genesis it looks like it has too much white for me - or is that creme?

 o
RE: Can anyone show me creamy or ivory cabinets with glaze?

dd70: no, mine are Kraftmaid. Are your's Merillat? With the same-named glaze as Kraftmaid???

 o
RE: Can anyone show me creamy or ivory cabinets with glaze?

Merillat owns kraftmaid or vice versa. I love them both!

aunti-try to get the pics up, i would love to see them.
the genesis is a very creamy background. It's hard to tell from such a little sample and a bad picture taker! but the big slab had a lot of gold/brown in it. Good luck with your search!

PONYDOC - I love your goldish wall color! Can you tell me the brand and color? Thanks. Pippi L.

New to this site and was browsing for ideas, love your cabinets dd70, I was hoping you could share the color of white used on the cabinets. Your's look as if they were just accented with glaze and not used all over, was this a professional job or DIY?

Hi Weedyacres - what granite/coutnertop do you have? We have these cabinets, and we're stuck trying to find a coutnertop. Yours looks great.
Thanks!
