Honed/Antiqued Grey Granite as Soapstone-Like Option

I really want soapstone counters, however I am getting discouraged from buying them from sales people and even here on GW. I think the color of granite called Steel Gray might be an alternate option if they were honed, leathered or antiqued. I found this color granite at Ikea.

I saw a gray honed granite done on an HGTV show called "Sarah's House", Season 4, however it is hard to get a good look at it on the TV screen. Here is the link:

Has anyone on GW ever done this or seen it done or have pix? What color gray do you think is on the TV show? Thanks!

Could be Steel Grey or Virginia Mist (aka Jet Mist).

Below are some Houzz searches on Steel Grey

Here is steel gray in our bathroom. When trying to find it again for our kitchen we found that either the supplier no longer could get it or what they were getting looked very different (in a bad way) from what we currently have. I have never seen it honed.

Why no soapstone?
