Hello,

My wife and I are doing a kitchen renovation, and we have a question about the design of our kitchen. Unfortunately, we already have our cabinets in, so we can't make any drastic changes at this point.

My wife wants to add legs to a peninsula we have in order to add a granite overhang at which people could sit (see pictures):

However, the peninsula would be right next to the edge of our floor threshold, so if a chair were to be placed on both sides one chair would be on the tile and the other on wood (which aren't on the same level):

Is this alright to do? Or should we be doing something else? Here is a sketch of our kitchen currently, any help is greatly appreciated:
