Grout curing time for 1/16" unsanded grout

Hi,
I am redoing our kitchen floor with wood plank porcelain tile that is rectified. The space between the tile is 1/16" and we are using unsanded colored grout from bostik. The instructions state that it must be damp cured for 3 days if we do not use a latex admixture from bostik.

My contractor states that even if we do not use the admixture, he doesn't think we need to cure it for 3 days and he has never cured it at all?

Any thoughts? I want to ensure the grout doesn't crack and the floor is strong.

A day or two is generally acceptable.....

My thought is that you might be hard pressed to get your tile guy to come back to the job several times a day for three days to spritz it with water, which is likely why your contractor says he's never cured it at all. I don't know of anyone who does either. But I suppose you could do it yourself.
