In case it's not obvious from the above - all of your other drawers and doors need to spaced off of the cabinet box as well.

Rubber bumpers will do this on the drawers and usually your hinges have adjustment for this built in. Add bumers on the non hinge side.

DO you have framed cabinets or Euro constructed ones ?

Thanks for your response, ajc71. I looked around and saw this video which answered more of my questions. I'll have to play around with it I guess. My cabinet installer and electrician is convinced that it will not work because the space isn't enough to push back and activate the arm.

xedos, my cabinets are frameless. I was thinking that I should remove the clear rubber sticker bumper thingy that comes with the cabinet and replace them with the blum bumper instead ... am I on the right track?

No need to replace the other bumpers, the blum one is meant solely for the servo....that little piece that is on the end of the bumper is actually a small "plunger" that allows the door/drawer to be pushed in a couple MM, just enough to activate the servo

I always run into people that try to reinvent the blum instructions....in the end everyone realizes that maybe blum knows what they are doing after all!

It will work just fine if it is installed per their instructions

Sure, depending on how the cabinet is built...that same bumper can be installed in a block that is attached to the back of the faceframe, or if the manufacturer has the door shutting against a raised bottom (or dropped top) then the bumper would be bored into that. We have done it both ways without too much trouble
