Heath Tile trip report

Even though I am in the bay area, I had never seen the new Heath tile showroom/ factory in San Francisco. Today DH and I drove up to check t out and hopefully get some inspirations for our backsplash. Some pics to share with all of you below. I thought the tile shape varieties was very cool. Definite fit for anyone looking for something modern and bit funkier than subways. They have different glaze levels -matte, semi-gloss and high gloss. Some of their sample installations has interesting mix of matte and glossy which was nice. Also some interesting finishes with use of dark clay body. The pottery was fabulous and super expensive.

Thanks, GWlolo! Those are really thought provoking designs. I rather like the second to last one. Reminds me of eucalyptus leaves.

Next time I'm at a conference out that way looks like I need to stop by! Too bad they only sell overstock in person :-/

Really nice and out of the "norm".
Although they're lovely, I'm kinda tired of subway tile.
If I wanted the subway, I'd actually ride it.
