When are the best sales?

I am starting to shop for a kitchen remodel. I am wondering when you have seen the best sales? Is Black Friday the jackpot? Are there special Kitchen Weeks (I have heard IKEA has one)? Thank you for sharing your experience.

Some of the items on my shopping list:

Kohler sinks and faucets
Whirlpool Appliance
Kenmore Appliance - I've never seen more than 30% off
Fridgidare/Electrolux Appliance - I've never seen more than 10% off
Rejuvenation- Lighting
Restoration Hardware - cabinet hardware

The appliance specialist at Home Depot told me the 2 best sale times for them, and most appliance retailers, are early/mid November and Presidents' weekend (February). We found this to be true. I got great deals from Appliance Connection online (including an Electrolux wall oven). Good luck!

IKEA has several kitchen sales a year. I believe last year they had three. They typically have one in March/April. I've purchased three kitchens through their sales even though I'm 350 miles from the nearest store.

The best deal I could find on Kohler was at OverstockDeals.com. They have a 10% off winter sale right now and there is no charge for delivery nor tax. I ordered my Kohler Stages and Karbon from them last Saturday and just took delivery an hour ago. I was nervous ordering from them but after reading that a few GW members had a good experience I decided to give them a try. It went without a hitch! Very speedy and even though it was supposed to be curb-side the delivery guy brought it into my garage and helped me unpack and inspect. This purchase saved me hundreds. I couldn't be more pleased with my purchase and excited about my new sink and faucet!

Thanks for the tips. Overstockdeals.com looks like they have the best prices on the sinks and faucets. I am hopeful that there will be good sales this coming President's Day weekend.

If you live in an area where one appliances dealer may have several stores across your state or region, then they will have a big warehouse somewhere. Those warehouses get clogged with customer returns, scratch and dent, discontinued models, older colors and such. Every once in a while there will be a BIG "clear out the warehouse" sale, and if you know exactly what you're looking for, you can be there early and make some great purchases! Try calling the biggest dealer near you and inquiring if they have any such warehouse sales coming up in the next few months, mentioning that you're shopping for a remodel project and will be purchasing multiple appliances.

Visit your local kitchen, bath, lighting, tile showrooms. Talk with the managers/reps. We actually bought our faucet, sinks, lights and induction when the stores were switching over their displays. We saved 55-65% off our purchases. my neighbor bought an entire kitchen worth of cabinets this way. His cabinets were a steal I still envy.

Scratch and dent stores are great tool. Wo cares if the wall oven has a skinny scratch on the side if it's hidden by a cabinet?

Doesn't sears have an appliance outlet? You may want to check there for your kenmore appliances. I believe some appliances have been reconditioned others were never used and merely returned by customer because the appliances didn't fit correctly etc. I've read on this forum that others have saved significantly at sears outlet . Worth a look.

I just wanted to share my excitement at saving $1,400 on two Frigidaire appliances. AJMadison had a big promotion on Electrolux and Frigidaire this week. I also noticed that Kenmore appliances were 35% off on the Friday and Saturday of President's day weekend and the were only 30% off on Black Friday. February is proving to be a good month.

Remember Lowes will price match at 10% lower. Sears sent us a coupon for about 30% off any appliance. Told Lowes about it and they matched and then took another 10% off. They never even asked to see the coupon.
