Thanks for the trash pullout inspiration!

I used an Ikea drawer and attached it to my existing cabinet. Not the easiest project to get perfect with older framed cabinets and a rudimentary skill set! So, it isn't perfect, but it works and I'm probably the only one who will see the flaw. The door doesn't hit the framing exactly flush on the bottom. It was hard for me to tell where to set the rails.

I'm already loving not rummaging underneath for things. I have room for a larger trash can, too! I'm going to enjoy seeing what and how much I can fit it there.

It looks great. I want to retrofit mine too. Do you have a toe pull or do you have to use the handle to open it? And does your trash can wobble when you pull it out?

Momtofour, I got that at Tuesday Morning a couple of years ago. $30 and has some heft.

Marti8a, I use the handle and kept it in the corner after reading that others didn't have problems with that placement. Since the glides are well-made, nothing moves around in there. I added the dampeners for soft close, too, which helps keep things from moving around. To use a foot pedal, you give up soft close.

I was going to use a Rev-a-Shelf pull-out, easier because you attach it to the floor of the cabinet, but didn't like the way it felt when I pulled it out. Not to mention it was $80 with the part to attach your door to it. My set up cost me some scrap wood, some time to figure out how to attach everything, and less than $30 for parts.
