My understanding is that the doors will basically be the same (with new names) in the new system. In my store, doors are taken down when they are out of stock, and replaced when back in stock.

If you're in the Portland area, and I assume you're looking to redo your kitchen, and I'd also assume that since you're looking at Ikea that you like frameless, have you looked at Barker cabinets?

My understanding is they are keeping most door styles eliminating a few and adding a few. Even though they're same style the doors won't fit the old system. A few of Ikea doors are ok but like Barker doors even less. The website is a pain and couldn't talk to a real person. They are always talked about here but probably people from the company doing most of it.

I am not in the Portland area. I was on a quick visit. The store was near our hotel.
I live over 4.5 hours North. :)
Even the "Seattle" store is a fair distance from my location.

I have looked at Barkers site and it confuses the heck out of me.

And yes in the next few months we will be working on a DIY kitchen upgrade.
