I wish I could help you. You probably know as much about concrete countertops as I do-- maybe even MORE than me. ADditionally, that's a sealer I've never heard of, so I can't even help there. Void of any other information, I'd probably be looking for a good terrazzo sealer, which that very well may be.

Please keep us posted on your countertop process. I will be embarking on a similar journey this spring. I'm starting with just a fireplace hearth (no knockouts) and if that small project goes well, I'll move on to the bathroom vanity then the downstairs kitchen countertops. I'm interested to see how it works for someone else. I'd love to know which products you decide on, colors, aggregates etc. thanks!

I'd be happy to but I don't know how to post pics here. There is a thread on the Ikeafans site that I started a while back which gives an idea of what we have done to date as well as some pics. Don't have the link but I think I called it "just bought the cement mixer" or something like that. I will be posting pics there as we move along. It's midnight here and we have just finished pouring our 9 ft island with cooktop void, molds for trivets, angled stainless divide and decorative aggregate. Big job but so worth it if you like the look. We are using flowcrete as we can't get "quickcrete" in Canada. Flowcrete has the water reducer in it already, so all you have to do is add polypropylene fibers and pigment (gray in our case). I would strongly recommend reading Cheng's books and watching his video - extremely helpful and then finding a local concrete outlet. We bought our diamond grinding pads online from "Tool City" and also purchased Cheng's DVD from them as well. Good prices. By the way, once we finish the kitchen we will also be doing our fireplace surround and hearth.
