can you give advice on what to put here?

I am probably going to be posting daily on advice. So thanks in advance. This space above the stove looks so barren and I am just not sure what to put there: a bright print? a shelf? what what what. Any ideas? please excuse the clutter. all will change. Knobs are oval satin nickel and pulls are also satin nickel.

How about a nice stainless shelf from IKEA? they only cost around $15 and are very sturdy. I usually keep my tea pot sitting on mine, unless I have something under my hood's warming lights. I installed mine before the tile so the mounting brackets would be hidden.

I think it looks nice just the way it is but a shelf is an idea. ccoombs1-does the shelf not get greasy? Easy to keep clean??

I like the shelf idea or what about some sort of art work or cool trivet or some sort of metal decorative thing. Are you planning on putting hardware on your cabinets? if so I would maybe jsut leave it uncovered and see all that really neat brick you put up!
