This is Vietnamese Quartz. Only throwing that out there due to the LL thread and the safety issues with imports.

Just curious if there are known health hazards with the Vietnamese imports or just being cautious in general.

I don't know. I try to buy US made products for safety, quality & to support US manufacturing. So many products from other countries have issues I do my best to avoid them.

Not sure if this means a whole lot but QuartzMasters Quartz has the GreenGuard seal--meaning it meets standards for low emission of volatile compounds.

For some, the look that they want outweighs the price that they pay for that look. Others need to stay within a strict budget.

All that means, is that the consumer needs to compare whole quotes for the material under consideration. Often times, materials that the fabricator stocks will be less costly overall, because they can retain the leftovers for other projects. When your project involves a whole slab purchase, or multiple whole slab purchases, the initial "square foot cost" can turn out to be much higher than another product quoting a higher cost per square foot.

It goes without saying to find a reliable quality fabricator first before you go into the jungle of countertop selection and fabrication.
