Oh my goodness, Whoooooooosh, it's beautiful. Please, please tell me what your granite is called. I looked at something similar yesterday and I would loved to know the name.

Thank you so much, everyone. I love being in there. I go to the grocery store with excitement - planning what to cook!

The best thing is actually using it and finding out that it ACTUALLY WORKS! Easy clean-up, quick, efficient and I can't help giggling!

My faucets are Graff, antique copper.

My granite is Taupe. Now that seems too vague and to be honest even my fabricator said he'd never seen it before. If you're interested in finding out more then contact Tosca, located in Miramar, CA.

The couch is due this month, so I'll take better pics when it arrives. The sun was quite strong when I took the others.

I plan to list everything, but I am in the middle of a litter of puppies right now and you can imagine all the 'stuff' that comes along with that little load!

To receive such comments from all of you on this forum is thrilling for obvious reasons.

More later and thanks for the questions

    Gorgeous,

We are also redoing our fireplace and TV, entertainment area. Where did you put VCR, DVD players, CDs, etc?

Brave to redo a kitchen/FR that many would love to have as their AFTER. But what you did was definitely an upgrade. Love seeing the 'insides' of your drawers. As someone in another post said- 'kitchen porn'! :>)

If you look at the entertainment center, bottom left - it looks like a drawer and cupboard, but it's a cupboard with all the units in there.

The right side is a drawer and a cupboard with pullout drawers inside.

We were forced into it. Plumbing fault flooded and resulted in mold and drawn out issues with Insurance! 3 years later!

Really beautiful! Love the copper sinks, I'm sooo envious! But can I ask...what's that THING on you counter? In the pictures towards the end of the slideshow there's something sitting there that looks like maybe a sculpture or something and it looks like it's sitting on a paper towel. Just curious! Wonderful job, congratulations and ENJOY!!

    I'm laughing so hard, here...

The THING is a Tea Cosey!

I'm English, what can I say.

Btw... thanks to tsdiver (My Page) for making the easy clicky link.

  • rmlanza

Hee hee, sorry if I offended you. I know what a tea cosey is, of course. But I guess with the lighting (and the sun shining on my laptop) I couldn't make out what it was. anyway, wonderful job...enjoy!:)

Honestly, no offence taken... I had a good laugh.

I have taken more pics today, as it was dull and raining (hardly rains, here, in CA). The lighting was better to show off the details more. I'll post more soon.

Off to piano lessons with the kids... no time for the wicked!

While everything is amazing, it is this that made me drool:

(I was just looking for my tiny spatula today, and I felt like an idiot, going around around in circle, because in my current kitchen I have 3 different drawers where I put my utensils and they're about 5 feet from each other, because of course, I had to look twice per drawer).

    congrats!

Thanks so much. Even though different members of the family put things away in different places, I still find it easy to just glance down and see my pieces.

    I'm thrilled.

My furnitues hasn't arrived yet so the company sent a loaner piece out for us to use... in short the feet had exposed nails and scratched huge ravines into my new travertine floor.

Soooooooooooo... I have my floor man coming out to hone my travertine (which is what I wanted in the first place) It will undoubtedly polish up over the years, but I love the look and the glare in my kitchen is cut down tremendously.

I'll post those pics when it is finished.

More pics on a dull day posted now. Thanks again for all the kind words.

Julie, what a beautiful kitchen! I love all the organizational aspects of it and can tell you put a lot of thought into what you wanted and where. I'm not usually a granite person, but love yours. Not too much movement and it works wonderfully with your cabs. The faucets and apron sink are lovely, as are your unusual pulls. Congrats on a superb reno!

    Sinks are from Coppersinksonline.com

Again, thank you for the lovely comments lynne and starpooh.

I have yet to take pics of my honed floor. It is much better than the gloss. It looks more expensive and 'even' (meaning the blemishes are not exposed as much)

I'll get to the pics soon

I've been looking again at your beautiful kitchen, and I'd like to know more about your double stacked silverware drawer.

What I don't know is the cut out size of the face frame (height x width), and the actual inside dimensions (useable space) of the drawers. If you know the name of the drawer glides, that would be great, too. TIA.

I'm so sorry, I missed your post! I'll go and measure and hope I get it right

    25" wide opening box
    7" High opening box

Useable drawer space 23.5" wide x 20" deep

The useable drawer space has the sectional wood slotted in thereby cutting down the useable space due to the department divisions. You can specify the width of slots AND the width of wood they use (I didn't think to cut down on the width of wood, but then it may have made the unit less stable.

Hope this isn't complicated... let me know if it is and I'll try again!

    Thanks for your interest

My couch has finally been delivered and I'll take pics of finished room... Oh and my table... but the benches haven't been made yet. It's Suar wood. I did order it to be tung oiled, but they forgot! However, I like the finish and I can always have them change it in the future (they said). Pics soon.

I love my Graff faucets. Hope you enjoy yours ricklish!

My couch and table are finaly situated! My benches are still on order and probably won't be here for another 3 to 6 months!

The floor was honed but it compromised my grout (left it rathre powdery cream) no worries they'll fix it.

The couch is a tad big, but I knew this would be the case. I went for function rather than appearance.

Hope it inspires... enjoy the pics (sorry about the glare of the sun)

Again, thank you for all the lovely compliments... I must admit that when anyone visits and I'm not around, the first question I ask my family upon my return is "What did they say about the kitchen?" Shamless, I know! lol
