Miter Free Bead Board

Does such a thing exist? I read an article where one woman supposedly re-did kitchen cabinets this way and would like to do the same. I'm purchasing a 1960s house with old cabinets and cannot afford new ones so thought to use liquid nails, bead board (either paintable wallpaper or the real thing) and paint but hate the thought of miter cuts (I'm not sure I could pull off a good miter cut).

In addition to the miter free, what are your thoughts regarding the paintable paper vs actual beadboard?
