Bump

I've been wondering the same thing.....

We put one in our laundry room. We installed an outlet behind the drawer base, and I just plugged a power strip into the outlet. Our electrician kept asking me....are you sure you want an outlet BEHIND the drawer base....uh..yes I do!! We have our phones, ipod, etc. in there. Maybe there is a more technical power station, but it works for us!!

I'm not an electrical expert, but I think he put a standard outlet box into the drawer back. Then the power runs into it as it normally would, but he put the black tubing around it - it stretches out as you open the drawer and curls up as you close it. Note that the drawer is shorter than it would be otherwise to allow room for the box and tubing, and the tubing does drop down into the cabinet space below when the drawer is closed. But I love the convenience of bring able to plug in my phone and close it away out of sight.

Oh, this is SUCH a good idea--never would have thught of it. About to do a major kitchen remodel, and will include this for sure. (With a whole powerstrip, though, not just an outlet. Way too many devices to charge in our house.) Thanks for the photos--I "get" it now!!
