HELP Need some remodeling advice in kitchen!

Posted by alex74 (My Page) on

Well I just bought a house and need some advice with the kitchen. Everything is oak, from top to bottom. I wouldn't mind painting the cabinets white but the problem is that the whole house is oak, connected from dining room to family room to kitchen.

So instead of messing with the current design, I was wondering if someone could point out some suggestions. I was thinking of staining the floor for contrast, but do I stain it lighter or darker or just keep it the same? Maybe change appliances to stainless steel? Change the existing Corian counter to Quartz, but what color? Paint the wall but what color goes with oak? Ugh, please help....thanks in advance!
