| Hi all, I have been creepin in this site for several months getting many ideas and useful information. We are completely renovating our kitchen ourselves. My husband is a tradesman. We have our own business and this process has taken us much longer than anticipated. We ordered our cabinets back in April and are just now starting to drywall. We had the hood delivered, so we could do the electric and ventilation before the drywall. I guess we somehow ordered a built in range hood and we were not planning to do a built in. We had planned for a SS hood, undercabinet mount. So we ordered wrong and apparantley the cabinet maker who had the specs on all appliances thought we were installing a microwave underneath the cabinet and made the cabinet 18"
Our problem is the cabinet is 18" high, so we need to find a 30" hood that is at least 12" high so it would be 30" above counter. I am finding 10" or 18". Or does anyone know if we could somehow do a built in under a 18" cabinet? Thanks for any help and I have really enjoyed the wealth of info on this site. |
