Hello!

I just purchased a home that was a foreclosure. The bank did minimal updates to it. One update they did do is install granite countertops in the kitchen and they chose Venetian Gold. We now need to paint the cabinets and install backsplash. If I could have chosen the countertops I would have done a white marble or granite with hints of blue; bright white cabinets; gray walls; etc. I have been driving myself crazy trying to "make that fit" with the Venetian Gold granite. As you can imagine, it has not worked out well. So I have decided to step back and open my mind to other possibilities. So my questions are...

1. What color would you paint the cabinets?

2. What color/style backsplash would you choose?

3. What paint color would you choose?

The existing hardwoods will be stained a dark color (like espresso) and we are installing stainless steel appliances. Also, there will be a microwave above the cooktop so there will not be space for an focal point design.
