been looking at granite and can't find the perfect one. but, i found this beautiful soapstone called Finlindia Green. please give me some info on it if you have any. what about if you drop a dish or a glass on a soapstone counter from the cabinet above, what may happen? probably, the obvious, right? damage to the soapstone? and, if i were to use it as a breakfast bar, is it safe for such use, or could it crack easily if someone like a child, or an adult not realizing leans too hard on it?

and lastly,does one color over another,make it more durable? oh, i forgot 1 more, why do the salespeople in these stone showrooms, tell us that soapstone is not good for kitchen use? thanks again for the great info.
