| Our church has a 5' x 3.5' commercial grade stove/oven with a 6' x 4' exhaust venting system. The venting system is over 30 years old. As part of a remodel, the thought has been to replace the system or do away with any venting system. Does code (in Calif.) permit us to do away with a venting system? If not, what is the minimum size of a vent (island type) that we must use? Our other thought was to paint the hood. What type of paint would work? |
