Happy Holidays!!

Which ever holiday you may celebrate at this time of year, may it be a very happy and Blessed one!

For me, It's Christmas, and this year will be a quiet one. Every year, we travel, either to Connecticut to visit with my family, or out to Utah to visit with the grandkids and Kathleen's family. This year, we decided for a change to celebrate at home and have a nice "quiet" Christmas!! Kathleen screwed that up, though-- she got me something I've wanted for several years now, and just never took the time to go get for myself, and that's my first pair of drumsticks in almost 30 years, and a practice pad!! So, I've been sitting here all morning with headphones on and my sticks and pad, beating the heck out of that pad!! (It doesn't take much to make me happy, and I couldn't have asked for a better gift!)

I hope you all are as blessed as I feel I am!

Merry Christmas and Happy Chanukah to all!

I've been frying latkes (potato pancakes) all afternoon, and I just took a break to sit down for a few minutes before lighting the Chanukah candles.

May your holidays be filled with family, friends, and beautiful memories!

Peace to all and the blessings of a healthy family in the coming year.

Ms. Azadi and Sheri, your boys overseas are especially in my prayers today.

Thanks for starting this thread, Bill. DH, both DS's and I have been sick all week long, and are finally starting to feel better. So we are now spreading good cheer, instead of germs! We were not up to eating latkes tonight, so I made some chicken soup and we'll have our latkes tomorrow night. Played a rousing game of dreidels though, the boys beat the pants off DH and I.

Peace, good health and joy to all for the coming year. Special wishes for safety to our brave men and women serving in the military. Thanks Pecan, for the reminder.

This was sent to me as a joke forward. I'll post it as it was sent and let you decide whether or not you find this funny:

    Politically Correct Holiday Greeting:

Please accept with no obligation, implied or implicit, our best wishes for an environmentally conscious, socially responsible, low stress, non-addictive, gender neutral celebration of the winter solstice holiday, practiced within the most enjoyable traditions of the religious persuasion of your choice, or secular practices of your choice, with respect for the religious/secular persuasions and/or traditions of others, or their choice not to practice religious or secular traditions at all.

In addition, please also accept our best wishes for a fiscally successful, personally fulfilling and medically uncomplicated recognition of the onset of the generally accepted calendar year 2006, but not without due respect for the calendars of choice of other cultures whose contributions to society have helped make this country great (not to imply that this country is necessarily greater than any other country or area of choice), and without regard to the race, creed, color, age, physical ability, religious faith or sexual orientation of the wishers.

This wish is limited to the customary and usual good tidings for a period of one year, or until the issuance of a subsequent holiday greeting, whichever comes first. "Holiday " is not intended to, nor shall it be considered, limited to the usual Judeo-Christian celebrations or observances, or to such activities of any organized or ad hoc religious community, group, individual or belief (or lack thereof).

Note: By accepting this greeting, you are accepting these terms. This greeting is subject to clarification or withdrawal, and is revocable at the sole discretion of the wisher at any time, for any reason or for no reason at all. This greeting is freely transferable with no alteration to the original greeting. This greeting implies no promise by the wisher to actually implement any of the wishes for the wisher her/himself or others, or responsibility for the consequences which may arise from the implementation or non-implementation of it.
This greeting is void where prohibited by law.

Somewhere, I think there's a lawyer with ENTIRELY too much time on his hands!

Happy Holidays to my forum friends! Peace and love to all, and thanks, Pecan, for reminding us to send special wishes to our men and women overseas.

Thanks, Bill, for starting this. And yes, that was funny!

Paige, and all others who get a kick out of our overly-inflated and often pompous legal jargon, check this out-
