Just got back from voting. Thanks for the reminder.

I did - first thing.

Done...was at the polls at 6:40am. I may be a bit sappy but I always feel so happy and empowered on election day...so many around the world do not have the privilege.

Voted last week. We have mail-in ballots, but still, only 35% of the state had voted as of last weekend. It really upsets me.

Just went over. Media scrum, the mayor's voting address is a block from my house so we share the same polling station. There were still photogs, TV trucks and cops all circling, waiting for Hizzoner to show up and vote.

Voted by mail two weeks ago. I passed two polling places on my run this morning and both had people going in and out. Nice to see. I wouldn't say they were busy but they weren't empty.

Got back just a little bit ago. 4 people in line ahead of me; the first 3 (a lone person and a couple) had not registered, the couple did not live in the precinct either. The fourth had come to the wrong precinct also but he thought he was registered for the correct one.

Done. We get absentee ballots, but on voting day the family voters sit around the kitchen table and look over our individual notes, discuss the plusses and minuses of each option, vote our personal choice, then drop off the ballots at the polling place. Probably not exactly how the absentee system was intended to be used, but we are at least making informed choices.

We also vote with the mail in absentee ballot...
Voting is an American privilege that too many don't take advantage of, and then complain about the results...

Voted earlier -busiest I've ever seen it even compared to presidential years. There was a referendum to expand the library in our town so I'm not sure if that had some effect. The line was around 50 people long by the time I got out of there.
