Anyone watching Nip/Tuck?

Man,can that show get any more bizarre! Please don't think I'm a perv for watching, I've gotten hooked on it this year. A girl I work with is hooked too...that's the first thing we talk about on Wed morning. We've come to the conclusion that it is so far removed from our normal boring lives, I guess that's why we watch(plus the naked men!!!)

I understand that one of the latest shows featured bestiality. Presenting that sort of base sexual material on any television show is revolting. They have lost any sense of moral responsibility to their viewship and to society as a whole.

Here is a link that might be useful: Nip/Tuck and Bestiality

We don't have cable and I've never seen it but I thought it was a reality show about plastic surgery. After what cup posted, I hope I'm wrong!!

Funny, Pecan, I also thought it was a reality-type show about plastic surgery, like a documentary. And I thought Gray's Anatomy was a science show too, but I'm probably wrong there as well.

We don't have cable either. But some internet providers also do cable, so we could be supporting that sort of programming indirectly via internet fees. I'll need to look into that. Since we don't watch much television, I guess I'm really unaware of what is on tv these days.

I really liked the first season on Nip/Tuck, but it's gone steadily downhill since then. I was hoping this season would be better, but geez, they've really lost all touch with reality. They seem to just go for shock value these days, whereas the first season was more character-driven.

I haven't seen it, yet, even though several friends rave about it. I added it to TiVo today after they mentioned it on The View.

I watched it for the first time last Tuesday. It was pretty graphic and shocking. Don't think I'll be watching it again, but I'm so bored with all the crime dramas, that I can see why this type of show is attracting viewers. Every other station seems to show the same old, same old, exact duplicate of every other station. This is why shows like Sex in the City and Desperate Housewives are popular as well, although I've never watched the latter, and the former only a few times. I just prefer not to watch TV, it tends to be junk. I also think that these shows are geared towards women primarily as a reaction to the crime dramas, sports and other male-oriented shows that are often on at primetime. With the loss of shows like Everybody Loves Raymond, there's just not a lot of good, semi-wholesome options...not saying that what I mentioned above are even close to wholesome, with the exception of sports.
(and I would NEVER let my kids watch Desperate Housewives, Sex in the City or Nip/Tuck!!!)

I enjoyed the first two seasons, but haven't watched it since. The one guy had tv sex every week! But I don't have time for it now. It's so hard to keep track of everything, even with Tivo.

I watched it once. It's basically prime time porn. Very disturbing.

Rescue Me is similar. I can't believe they can show this stuff on regular networks!

I started watching last year for the first time. Was that the second season? I think it's a hoot. Same with Rescue Me. "Prime time porn" is a bit of a stretch, but that's why they're both on cable.
