Black countertop help

Does anyone have black countertops in kitchen and NOT like them? I am always drawn to the look of them, but am worried that they will always look dirty/dusty. I would choose a "black" with slight variation of a couple of colors thrown in, but for the most part they would be black. Anyone have trouble with dust, dirt, watermarks?

RE: Black countertop help

We put black granite in our guest bathroom first and I do not like it. I love the look, but it is very hard to keep clean. For that reason, we've gone with New Venetian Gold in the rest of the house.

It is a very solid black, though. I don't know if something with a busier pattern would be easier to keep clean. We have the biggest problems with water marks since it's a small bathroom counter. It doesn't often get the opportunity to get dusty :-)
