We are planning a holiday party, in part to celebrate our "new" house (new addition will be completed within next few weeks, including large kitchen/family room). Part of the reason we embarked on this addition is because we love to entertain, and we had one of those tiny kitchens where people were always crammed in, standing around the island. So I want to word a cute invitation, maybe with a funny little rhyme about how we now have the space for a party, celebrating our "new/old" house, something along those lines. Can anyone help?

It doesn't exactly fit, but I've always had a soft spot in my heart for the Crosby/Stills/Nash "Our House".

A lymerick? There was once a cramped and tiny space (I wanted to have fetchin' start with b and rhyme perfectly with kitchen... but the message rejected! LOL!) Em

Hey, Em, I came up with the 'b' word that rhymes with kitchen, too :) I had a couple of thoughts the other night when I couldn't sleep. I had forgotten all about it until I read Em's post! (Sung to the tune of Our House) (Sung to the tune of My Bonnie) You could have a header with something like RENOVATION CELEBRATION There were more, but they have departed to wherever nighttime inspirations go...
