vent for two-burner gas cooktop

Does anyone know if a hood/vent is required in a kitchen with a two burner gas stove cook top? This is going in a kosher kitchen that will have a 5 burner gas cooktop on one side with a ventilation hood; the opposite side of the kitchen will have just a two burner Verona cooktop and I'm wondering if we need to have a vent to meet California building code...???

You need to post this on the other side of the forum, "Discussions". This side gets a lot less traffic and it's for off-topic conversations.

but yes, it does. It can be overhead, behind, a downdraft on the side, or Gaggenau's pop-up side unit that swivels into place after its raised. Be sure whatever you get is rated for use with *gas* cooktops, not just electric.
