| I have been trying to think of saying that I want to paint in my kitchen but it's been harder than I thought. Something other than "Home Sweet Home" or "Live, Love, Laugh" (boy that one has been done to death, huh?) I have the perfect place to put a saying but for all it's worth, I can't come up with something meaningful. I'm open to anything family related, Christian or optomistic. "Keep to the Sunny Side" was one that I had in mind but I thought I could do better than that.
Would appreciate any and all suggestions! |

| neesie, I was looking for a sign or saying for my kitchen, too, and found this web site with signs. I liked a lot of the sayings. Check it out! |

| If you like Christian cliches, all of the following are part of my email signature: If God brings you to it, He will bring you through it. Happy moments, praise God. When you reach the end of your rope you will find the hem of His God didn't promise days without pain, laughter without sorrow, sun without rain, but HE did promise strength for the day, comfort for the tears & light for the way. |

| Sarah, The link below is my favorite site. Hope you enjoy and perhaps find something fitting for you. |

| Thanks for all the suggestions and links! This should keep me busy for some time. Unfortunately I can't use anything to word-y (space issues) but with all these suggestions I'm sure I'll find something. I've seen these Wall Words on eBay but couldn't find the right saying. Most of the vendors will let you come up with your own saying. Easier said than done! Please feel free to suggest some more as I will be checking back often! |

| "You want fries with that?" "You have two choices for dinner, take it or leave it!" Good luck finding just the right one. |

| Someone on this forum had this painted on their kitchen wall~ "Optimum condimentum fames." (Socrates.) It means- Hunger is the best sauce. That's perfect for my cooking! |
| If you are a dog lover: Bark less, wag more. My kids saw this on a bumper sticker today and loved it! This next one is not for the kitchen, but it made me laugh the other day. I saw it in a fabric store. it said "Unattended children will be given an espresso and a free puppy." |
| "Unattended children will be given an espresso and a free puppy." ROFLMAO! |
| Way too long, but I love it...... May those who love us love us. |

| neesie, did you ever find a short saying? I'm looking for a short saying to put on a 12" tile on the backsplash behind my cooktop. Anyone have any other ideas than those given above. Thanks, Jeanie |

| Hi, op here! No, I never did find a saying....now I'm in the process of re-doing my powder room. I'm ordering a large, modern looking butterfly from the places that sell sayings. They have "images" too! |
| It's hard to find just the right one, isn't it? What places sell sayings and images? Thanks, again. |
| "Live Life Joyfully" or "Live Brightly" |
| I know this isn't what you are looking for, but I loved this saying I saw in a restaurant "A meal without wine is...breakfast" |
| "In my salad days, when I was green in judgement ..." |
| Coquo Ergo Sum I bake, therefore, I am. ;-) |
| One of the signs in my kitchen is "Chocolate -- It's not just for breakfast anymore!" The others I can think of are probaly on the sites linked. |

| I couldn't find exactly what I wanted in "Wall Words" site. So I had them make this up for me: "What would Julia do?" Guests enter laughing... always a good start to their visit. |
| My favorite kitchen sign says "Mom's Cooking: You'll eat it and you'll like it." |
| Dance Like Nobody's Watching |
| Don't know where I saw this recently, but it made me smile: "When you diet, the terrorists win." |
| Be still, and know that I am God. Very calming and reassuring. Sit down and eat! A crazy lady lives here -- smile when you see her.

| If you are a dog lover.... "To err is human, to forgive canine." |
| Mine says, "Home is where your story begins." |
| This is probably not what you're looking for depending upon your sense of humor, but I've always found it funny. Very stupid to kill the only servant in the house. Now we don't even know where to find the marmalade. (From the movie And Then There Were None 1945) Sorry. :) |
| I like namaste (greetings to your blessed soul/highest self) or Om mani padme hum which lists six virtues, but I interpret it as closer to let your light shine. there are tibetan script versions that are way cool. There are also chinese characters, but I guess that is more for a rounder space. |

| Okay, so I realize this isn't what the OP was looking for...but it always makes me chuckle. We went from our starter home, a tiny little 1200 sq ft house that was not very functional for us...to our dream home. At 3,000 square feet, it felt like we were designing a palace. So I saw this sign and have it framed in our new "fancy" kitchen: "Now that we've killed the servants, how will we know where to find the strawberry jam?" Sorry--I hope it makes someone laugh! |

| I am seriously considering pi all the way around the dining room. I tease my husband that I am going to use "What's that smell?" |
