Could use some input on color/style

I'm redoing my 30 yr old kitchen and I'm pretty excited about it! I've already picked my cabinets: light cherry shaker style. The counter is a dark granite- black with spots of light brown that match the cabinet stain (unless I change and go with a very light red stain. The cabinet maker is staining some examples for me this week).

My main question at this point is this: I've decided to go with a flooring called Karndean but I haven't decided on the actual look. This is where I need to have some professional input. www.karndean.com

Would you mind giving me your opinions? Since the cabinets are not dark and the counter is dark, how dark should I go with the floor?

My favorite floor was an aged, distressed looking floor but I don't have an aged looking home so I thought that wouldn't be a good thing. I was looking at Tazmanian wattle (a light wood with some streaking) or Hazelnut Barnwood which is a little darker with some more brown.

I know it's hard to imagine, but any ideas?

Thanks for your input!
