Trane heatpump purchase

I have a cracked heater core on a 10 year Rheem gas pack.
I have been quoted 2300 for repair. A trane vendor has quoted about 6900
For a new 14 seer 2 stage compressor with 20 year heat exchanger warranty.
Does that sound like a fair price and would recommend a different unit. I plan to be in this house 10 more years.

Yes, sounds fair.

This is a hybrid/DF package system? Post model.

New lineset? What thermostat? You want a true two stage thermostat that controls staging based on demand, not from a timer on control board or a software algorithm that always goes to high stage whether needed or not.

How about a filter cabinet?
