HVAC Filters: Bag vs Pleated

I recently purchased a home which has a bag style filter in the furnace. The filter is a Flanders Precision Pak with 95% efficiency. I have searched the web, but cannot find any information concerning bag style filters in a residential furnace.

My questions:
1. Bag vs pleated filter, what should I use and why?
2. Are bag filters more efficient that pleated?
3. Will a pleated filter restrict the airflow more that a bag filter?
4. How can I know if I can safely use a pleated filter instead of the bag?
