| Hi...
I have a fairly new Bryant Heat Pump that is less than 2 years old. In the past year or so, it has started to make this loud whining/grinding noise for the first 5 seconds or so on startup. After that, the noise goes away and sounds normal again... I know it didn't do this when it first got installed. Someone this noise developed over time. It happens both in heat and a/c mode. Has anyone experienced this before? Any idea what the cause may be? |

| Normal for scroll compressors, A sump heater might help eliminate it. |
