I have a fossil fuel heat pump/furnace that is propane. Just got my lastest propane bill which is outrageous. I live in a cold climite so my unit demand defrosts quite a bit. The cycle only last 2-3 minutes but each time my furnace fires for interim heat. I would like to disable the furnace from coming on during the defrost and have been through the IAQ installation manual and don't see where I could do that. Am I missing something? Or can I do something on the heat pump control board? Any and all help/advice would be appreciated. Thanx
