Furnace Fan Question

I have a furnace that has a continuously variable furnace fan. When the heat is running full, the fan is running the highest. As the heat turns off, the fan slows down until it's running at its lowest, and then turns off. This is all fine.

I can turn on the fan even when the heat (or AC) is not running. When I do, it runs at the lowest setting. I'd like to be able to choose between running at the lowest setting and the highest setting. Is there a way that this can be done?

What brand of equipment is it?

What is the reason for wanting to do this?

Furnace - Bryant 355BAV
Thermostat - Lux 500

The reason is because the fan noise would help me sleep at night by masking outside noise (like a neighbors heat pump that cycles every 10 minutes - on for 3min off for 7 min - see my earlier post). The furnace fan has a nice deep sound that covers up such noise.

May be better to get a floor or desk fan, which is the white noise method I've used for 25+ years.

My old furnace (fan) was not so smart. It had only one speed, high. I used that many times.

With that thermostat low continuous fan is all you have. You could upgrade tstat but it is really cost prohibitive.
