Need to know what do you think of having the thermostats in the hallway of house. Or what is a good place for them to be located? Our HVAC contractor told us that the best place for a thermostat to make the unit work efficiently would be to put the thermostats in the hallway. We are having installed 2 air handlers with heat pumps and 2 outside units (2ton and 3ton). The thermostat for the 2ton unit will be placed in the master bedroom hall and will heat and cool the master suite, an office, foyer, and dining room. The thermostat for the 3ton unit will be placed in the hall going to all 3 bedrooms and will heat and cool the kitchen, living room, 3 bedrooms and 2 baths.
