I am a long time lurker on this forum. I was just wondering what with all the talk about whose got the most economical electric rates etc, why no one has suggested looking for Suppliers & Aggregators. These are companies that will deliver electricity at a bit lower rate then maybe the local companies do. I live here in Connecticut and I use one at my home. Granted it's not a huge saving ... but a savings none the less. Like I said, just my 2 cents here. Posted a link below and I think some may even service some the readers area.
Here is a link that might be useful: list of suppliers in MY area

can you say enron?
|
Heatseeker, I respectfully disagree with you.. while Enron may come to mind, this is not an enron situation.

it also may depend on local laws. I'm not exactly sure about here (VA), but I think I cannot use anyone but the single regulated provider (Dominion).

I happy to say that I am part of the IGNITE team. I offer cheaper rates to homeowners then there current utility co. I not only install the most efficient hvac systems but allso sell electric.
