We have electric radiant heat in our 1970's ranch and we are in the process of getting a heat pump installed. In the meantime we are having to run the radiant heat. It's expensive no matter how you look at it, but we are running each room at the same temp so the whole house maintains a constant temp. Would it be cheaper to only run a few rooms at a time? We have kids who are moving about the house, so I just don't like the idea of one room being colder the the next. Any suggestions?
