| Hello,
Random question. We walked through a model home and noticed returns at the top. The house did have 2 furnaces. I just found it odd that a 2 story would need heating/cooling vents at the top given the properties of hot air- rising- and cool air- falling. Thanks. |

| To have an internal circulation duct with a powered fan to take that hot air and put it back down at floor level. It's the only way to even out the temperature. |

| It means they did a good job with the HVAC. It's a good thing. I guess the other approach people use is ceiling fans, but the return's a great idea. |
