Colorado HVAC Questions?

Posted by MichelleDT (My Page) on

Anyone out there know what the Colorado or more specifically, Douglas COunty ventilation requirements are for make up air for new home build and kitchen ventilation. Do I need a dedicated conditioned make up air solution with a 1200 cfm ventilation wall hood? Can't find anything on the county site. Hearing this could cost in excess of $10K. YIKES!

Recommendations for great HVAC companies for new build?

THANKS!

Can't help you with the legals. Just wanted to say that that's one hell of a big hood.

My furnace blower normally pushes 1200 CFM (heat and cool) for a 2500 SF house.

How big is your abode?

The house is about 6000 sq ft. The range is a Capital Culinarian - 60" with 23K open flame burners plus griddle and grill. I am trying to plan upfront for the make up air required (anything over 600 cfm in a new build requires make up air and heat recovery due to climate) and will budget about $15K. There will also be other appliances such as an induction cooktop and a boiler/fryer.
