The highest priced brands offer convenience. Custom made mats, etc. But I did mine for about 1/4 the cost. If paying for labor, the savings would be less.
I bought Elektra brand from a seller on eBay. I think that he is no longer there.
The installer fits the mats. Requires careful planning. Don't skimp on the thermostats. Mine have the sensor in the floor, in a small conduit for easy replacement ( which has not been necessary). The floor sensor insures the most precise temperature. We set ours at 82, which is enough to feel good. Some like it a bit warmer.

We used âÂÂSunTouchâ in our bathroom renovation. This is an all-American product except the programmable T-stat was made in France. âÂÂSunTouchâ uses EMF canceling techniques of fabricating their wires and mats so that EMF radiation is not even an issue.

I would also suggest using proper Schluter techniques to waterproof your bathroom. I would definitely use a âÂÂSchluter-Ditra Membraneâ to decouple the floor tiles from the mortar bed so that floor tiles are less likely to crack, particularly if youâÂÂre using large format tiles. I would also recommend using âÂÂMapei Kerapoxyâ grout, as this grout is totally color consistent and stain resistant in addition to being waterproof.
