Building a new home-what can I do help with ductwork install?

Hi guys, I'm getting ready to start the framing on my new home and want to know what can I do or not do to make ductwork install easier on the hvac crew.

It's a two story home and I have designated a little area behind a coat closet (roughly 4' wide x 3' deep) that I plan on using as a chase thru both floors, additionally I had my first floor ceilings on half the house (open floor plan) built at 10' and plan on dedicating a 4' wide section for mechanicals and then build a ceiling underneath allowing for a 12" of open space. The low ceiling will basically define a hallway along the living room that will stay at 10' ceilings. I'm hoping the vents for living can be installed on the vertical space of the soffit that borders living room.

Hoping some of you who do this for a living can offer any insight before I begin framing. Thanks.

Talk to your chosen HVAC contractor and ask them if they would like to have some input before the framing is done.

take your plans to hvac companies.
tell them you'd like to move ducts into
living space, or have suggestions that
    are specific to your build.

without seeing plans & layout of rooms..
no one can give you specific to you info,

    best of luck.
