I live in Austin TX and my mother in law needs a new A/C unit. We had someone come to the house and quote her... I'm trying to help her find out if she's getting a good deal.

The quote is for a 15 SEER American Standard.

That includes a 10 year warranty and new plenums.

The contractor said that this comes with a $500 rebate.

All work done for $6,900.

Is this a good deal?
