I'm hoping someone can help me out a little. I have a 1920's 3 bedroom, 1 bath bungalow fairly close to the beach. It currently has a gas wall heater/furnace in the hallway and that's what keeps the place warm - it barely does the job. The house was built on a raised foundation and the cold comes up through the floors. Anyway, my CURRENT plan is to try and rent the place out weekly. If the tenants want bedroom privacy, it pretty much eliminates getting any warm air in the room as the door would most likely be closed. The place is approx. 1200 sq. feet. My question is . . . what would be a good choice for heating and/or even air conditioning without breaking the bank as it is a rental. Also, the walls are lathe and plaster from the 20's. I'm hoping someone can give me some BRILLIANT ideas. I'm just really not wanting to put one of those "window" air conditioners in the room. The mansard roof - flat - does have some attic space but not a whole lot. Thanks
